This evening I did the following researching my 550 messages from Verizon.net and gte.net.
1 Smtp out web-partners, sending email address [EMAIL PROTECTED] 550 error 2 Smtp out charter.net, sending email address [EMAIL PROTECTED] 550 error 3 Smtp out charter.net, sending email address [EMAIL PROTECTED] SUCCESS 4 Smtp out web-partners, sending email address [EMAIL PROTECTED] SUCCESS It looks like if all I do is go into Outlook, change my email address Verizon takes the mail? I don't get this, I know I'm not very technical, but apparently the easiest thing to spoof is simply changed and the mail is delivered. I don't get it. Just to be sure, I set it back to #4 and it's failed again. Here is the log of the successfully sent message through my Imail server using my charter address. 07:06 20:03 SMTPD(cf0f01b90000eea7) [206.190.82.18] connect 24.180.8.195 port 15918 07:06 20:03 SMTPD(cf0f01b90000eea7) [24.180.8.195] EHLO Johnsm480n 07:06 20:03 SMTPD(cf0f01b90000eea7) Authenticated [EMAIL PROTECTED], session treated as local. 07:06 20:03 SMTPD(cf0f01b90000eea7) [24.180.8.195] MAIL FROM: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 07:06 20:03 SMTPD(cf0f01b90000eea7) [24.180.8.195] RCPT TO: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 07:06 20:03 SMTPD(cf0f01b90000eea7) [24.180.8.195] D:\IMail\spool\Dcf0f01b90000eea7.SMD 5581 07:06 20:03 SMTP-(cf0f01b90000eea7) processing D:\IMail\spool\qcf0f01b90000eea7.smd 07:06 20:03 SMTP-(cf0f01b90000eea7) Trying gte.net (0) 07:06 20:03 SMTP-(cf0f01b90000eea7) Connect gte.net [206.46.232.11:25] (1) 07:06 20:03 SMTP-(cf0f01b90000eea7) 220 sv6pub.verizon.net MailPass SMTP server v1.2.0 - 112105154401JY+PrW ready Thu, 6 Jul 2006 22:00:44 -0500 07:06 20:03 SMTP-(cf0f01b90000eea7) >EHLO mail.web-partners.com 07:06 20:03 SMTP-(cf0f01b90000eea7) 250-Requested mail action okay, completed 07:06 20:03 SMTP-(cf0f01b90000eea7) 250-8BITMIME 07:06 20:03 SMTP-(cf0f01b90000eea7) 250 SIZE 20480000 07:06 20:03 SMTP-(cf0f01b90000eea7) >MAIL FROM:<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 07:06 20:03 SMTP-(cf0f01b90000eea7) 250 Sender <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> OK 07:06 20:03 SMTP-(cf0f01b90000eea7) >RCPT To:<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 07:06 20:03 SMTP-(cf0f01b90000eea7) 250 2.1.5 [EMAIL PROTECTED] OK. 07:06 20:03 SMTP-(cf0f01b90000eea7) >DATA 07:06 20:03 SMTP-(cf0f01b90000eea7) 354 Enter mail, end with a single ".". 07:06 20:03 SMTP-(cf0f01b90000eea7) >. 07:06 20:03 SMTP-(cf0f01b90000eea7) 250 2.5.0 Ok. 07:06 20:03 SMTP-(cf0f01b90000eea7) rdeliver gte.net [EMAIL PROTECTED] (1) <otheraddresscharter.net> 5870 07:06 20:03 SMTP-(cf0f01b90000eea7) >QUIT 07:06 20:03 SMTP-(cf0f01b90000eea7) 221 sv6pub.verizon.net closing connection 07:06 20:03 SMTP-(cf0f01b90000eea7) finished D:\IMail\spool\qcf0f01b90000eea7.smd status=1 Here is the failed message sent right afterwards the only change was in Outlooks email address! 07:06 20:49 SMTPD(d9d901670000f281) [206.190.82.18] connect 24.180.8.195 port 16188 07:06 20:49 SMTPD(d9d901670000f281) [24.180.8.195] EHLO Johnsm480n 07:06 20:49 SMTPD(d9d901670000f281) Authenticated [EMAIL PROTECTED], session treated as local. 07:06 20:49 SMTPD(d9d901670000f281) [24.180.8.195] MAIL FROM:<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 07:06 20:49 SMTPD(d9d901670000f281) [24.180.8.195] RCPT TO:<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 07:06 20:49 SMTPD(d9d901670000f281) [24.180.8.195] D:\IMail\spool\Dd9d901670000f281.SMD 2092 07:06 20:49 SMTP-(d9d901670000f281) processing D:\IMail\spool\qd9d901670000f281.smd 07:06 20:49 SMTP-(d9d901670000f281) Trying gte.net (0) 07:06 20:49 SMTP-(d9d901670000f281) Connect gte.net [206.46.232.11:25] (1) 07:06 20:49 SMTP-(d9d901670000f281) 220 sv4pub.verizon.net MailPass SMTP server v1.2.0 - 112105154401JY+PrW ready Thu, 6 Jul 2006 22:46:44 -0500 07:06 20:49 SMTP-(d9d901670000f281) >EHLO mail.web-partners.com 07:06 20:49 SMTP-(d9d901670000f281) 250-Requested mail action okay, completed 07:06 20:49 SMTP-(d9d901670000f281) 250-8BITMIME 07:06 20:49 SMTP-(d9d901670000f281) 250 SIZE 20480000 07:06 20:49 SMTP-(d9d901670000f281) >MAIL FROM:<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 07:06 20:49 SMTP-(d9d901670000f281) 550 You are not allowed to send mail:sv4pub.verizon.net 07:06 20:49 SMTP-(d9d901670000f281) ERR undeliverable 550 You are not allowed to send mail:sv4pub.verizon.net 07:06 20:49 SMTP-(d9d901670000f281) SMTP_DELIV_FAILED 07:06 20:49 SMTP-(d9d901670000f281) >QUIT 07:06 20:49 SMTP-(d9d901670000f281) 221 sv4pub.verizon.net closing connection 07:06 20:49 SMTP-(d9d901670000f281) Creating message from Postmaster 07:06 20:49 SMTP-(d9d901670000f281) Delivery process now using new file:d9de00000448c013 07:06 20:49 SMTP-(d9d901670000f281) finished D:\IMail\spool\qd9d901670000f281.smd status=2 07:06 20:49 SMTP-(d9de00000448c013) processing D:\IMail\spool\Qd9de00000448c013.GSE 07:06 20:49 SMTP-(d9de00000448c013) Inbound X-IMail-Rule: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:Postmaster Data- [EMAIL PROTECTED] 07:06 20:49 SMTP-(d9de00000448c013) ldeliver mail.web-partners.com myaccount-Postmaster (1) 2602 07:06 20:49 SMTP-(d9de00000448c013) finished D:\IMail\spool\Qd9de00000448c013.GSE status=1 John Doyle The Spice Hunter 184 Suburban Rd.
