On the IMail list they indicated that IMail 8.x is also affected and possibly older versions as well.

The biggest issue here is that the first version with rudimentary Safari support in webmail happens to be the latest with the patch, and there are a lot of people still on 8.22 due to that issue, yet they aren't offering an 8.22 patch.  Many have valid service agreements while others have held off due to the lack of utility in not having a fully functional product available.  Due to these circumstances, they should most definitely release a patch to 8.22...but who knows what they will do.

Here are the published details.  The anonymous researcher provided no information for other than the 2006 versions, so your question is still open, Gunter.

Subject: [Declude.JunkMail] Buffer overflow in Ipswitch products

Hello,

at the Heise news ticker
an IMail-security-problem was posted. Just new versions seem to be involved. We are wondering whether the old IMail version we use (7.15) is affected by this problem, too.

Best regards,
