(message resent, without the original posting, which caused it to be flagged as spam) We had a similar problem and it turned out that one of our command line virus scanners, F-Prot, was locking the file and preventing the headers from being added. A copy of the locked files would stay in the \proc\work directory with a .sm$ file extension. Our solution was to stop using F-Prot. We found F-Prot was no longer necessary now that declude has a builit in AV scanner, plus we also are using the free Clam AV. Hope this helps Corby
