Actually, Declude is designed so that when there is a problem it can't
handle, the mail WILL go through. For example, if there is a crash, you
won't get that "An application error occurred..." box; Declude will log
information about the crash and let the mail go through. At worst, the
mail should go out within 2 hours.

Unfortunately, there isn't much that can be done about this
situation. F-Prot was returning an error, and Declude treats that the same
as if a virus was found (since there is no real standard for error codes
among the different virus scanners).

A future release will likely let you choose how to handle error situations
(either treat it as though the E-mail contained a virus, or send it on
through).

That is how Declude is designed. Actually, it will make up to more 5
attempts to scan the mail (since McAfee will choke and return an error if 2
processes are started too close to each other), and then treat the E-mail
as though there was a virus.

I've added that to our suggestion database.

Declude expects the report.txt file to be in the temporary directory that
Declude using (since if it is in any other directory, it can get
overwritten when another E-mail comes in). You'll also need to add the
%VIRUSNAME% and %VIRUSFILE% variables to the E-mail templates.
