Scott,

I think I may have phrased the question wrong. I can put other email
addresses in the From: line of the .eml file. I was interested in adding an
alias (I am not sure if its called that or not) to the email address.

So the email could be coming from [EMAIL PROTECTED], but the recipient would see
an alias of "Steve Flook" in the From: column in Outlook. Like your email
address has an common name of "R Scott Perry" but the actual address in
[EMAIL PROTECTED]

Examining the headers of email address shows a format of FROM: "Common Name"
<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> but that doesn't do the trick with the .eml file.

Is that a limitation of imail1.exe?

Steve

That *should* work. However, you might instead want to try:

         From: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

>When I recieve the email the From: line in Outlook or the web messaging
>interface is "me". How do I use an alias?

The above should work ("From: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>"). Have you checked the
headers of the E-mail that is received to see exactly how they
appear? Does it work with the default "From: postmaster@%LOCALHOST%"?

Part of the problem is that Declude has to use the imail1.exe program to
send mail, and it is *very* picky. For example, it usually requires that
you tell it the domain that the user is on, and it won't let you add your
own From: header.
                                                 -Scott
