Hi Scott, >> However, if creating your own headers, you need to make sure to have the whole header in there <<
yes I understand the need for a full header - I was sloppy in my example. >> The global.cfg file is only used by Declude JunkMail. The virus.cfg file is only used by Declude Virus. << >> These are new options that were not previously available in Declude Virus. << Okay - but I own BOTH Declude JunkMail and Declude Virus. So, if *I* have either the XSPOOLNAME and XSENDER in GLOBAL.CFG or use XINHEADER in GLOBAL.CFG, is there then still any reason for me to worry about ALSO including XSPOOLNAME and XSENDER in VIRUS.CFG? Is a mail FIRST scanned for Viruses (so the VIRUS.CFG headers get added)? If a virus is detected, the Q*/D* files are isolated - and the VIRUS.CFG headers will be visible in the D* files? If I only have options in the GLOBAL.CFG, do they get processed by "JunkMail" AFTER the virus scanner - and thus would NOT be added if the Virus Scanner detected an Virus and isolated the file. I'm sure this was discussed at length - I'm just trying to figure out the implications - if any. However, if creating your own headers, you need to make sure to have the whole header in there (for example, "XINHEADER X-Sender: %MAILFROM%"). >I never paid attention to the prior discussions, because I assumed these >options were redundant. In Declude JunkMail, the XINHEADER option can duplicate the functionality of the XSPOOLNAME/XSENDER options. The XSPOOLNAME/XSENDER options were added first, which is why they still exist. >Now that I see these settings in the Virus.CFG >rather than Global.CFG I fear I'm missing something? No, you're not missing anything. Those were *added* to the virus.cfg file, not switched to the virus.cfg file. The global.cfg file is only used by Declude JunkMail. The virus.cfg file is only used by Declude Virus. -Scott --- [This E-mail was scanned for viruses by Declude Virus (http://www.declude.com)] This E-mail came from the Declude.Virus mailing list.
