That's correct. There aren't any viruses known yet that take advantage of
this vulnerability. However, there isn't any mail yet that has a
legitimate use to send a CR within the headers.
It's kind of like getting a package in the mail marked "Dangerous" with no
idea who sent it. Although the label on it doesn't mean that it is
dangerous, do you really want to take a chance?

Yes, by using the "BANCRVIRUSES OFF" setting. But note that if you use
that option, there is a known way for viruses to bypass your virus
protection (if you have any Outlook users).
