then it's McAfee testing a new variant.  It's caught by their daily update
files which are refreshed every few hours.

These are all subjects of the Klez.H virus, so I would suspect either
McAfee isn't detecting it properly, or there may be a new variant (although
none of the AV companies have reported a new variant yet).
