On 6/3/2002 we had the FPROT scanner (our #1) miss a virus that was caught
by NAI (McAffee) (our #2).
Excerpt from Declude log file:
-------------------------------------------------------------
Virus= the Exploit-MIME.gen virus !!! Attachment= [0] I
File(s) are INFECTED [13]
Scanned: CONTAINS A VIRUS
From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: <removed>
Subject: E-Mail Address Change - Cambio di indirizzo e-mail
-------------------------------------------------------------
I'm not sure if it was "real" or not since the Attachment message is a
bit strange.
It isn't a new virus but this is the only report we've ever seen on our
system.
Search FPROT for "exploit", "mime", or ".gen" doesn't seem to show it.
Couldn't find another one since or before.
Just fyi.
