I have just compiled up a new version and placed it on va, I know it fixes bug 22427 and it may also fix 22509 and a few other random unexplained things that have cropped up.
After installing it be sure to run apt-get update, it may be a good idea to remove /var/cache/apt/*.bin too but should not be necessary. Clasen, could you try this version?
