Given your dump below I can say that the FTP method (what is failing) has not changed at all since 0.3.10slink. I will look more closely to see what could be the trouble but I really don't see how this sort of problem could happen. And of course, you are the first person to report it, lots of people use SMP, yadda yadda Jason
