Moin Deity, I have a problem with apt-extracttemplates and a hand made Debian package. I've used tar and ar to build it, and now apt-extracttemplates tells :
bakunin:/opt/build # apt-extracttemplates hercules-os360_2001.231-4.deb E: hercules-os360_2001.231-4.deb not a valid DEB package. bakunin:/opt/build # This may be because 'GNU ar 2.11.90.0.7' places a trailing '/'-character in their archive, while Debian is'nt. Readin the 'ar' directory was the last action apt-extracttemplates did before raising the error, if I ask strace. Could this be ? How to solve this 'new to me' incompatibility ?
