Er, this is how it is documented to work, why on earth would you think it would do anything else? APT even shows a special mark on all the packages it is going to purge when it prints out what it is going to do! This sounds reminicient of the old 'rm -rf /' is harmful, thus rm should need an even specialer flag. Jason
