Package: apt Version: 0.5.4 Severity: minor I've an entry for the latest wine-debs in my sources list. Those packages all have an version like this: Version: 1:0.20030121.034247
Now I've set my preferences file to Package: * Pin: version 0.2003* Pin-Priority: 999 And: It works ! Apt updates my wine-environment daily. Now the "minor" bug (?). apt shows me this warning :/ W: Did not understand pin type version But it should (and it does !) understand the pin type 'version'. Should, because it's in the apt-howto. http://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/apt-howto/ch-apt-get.en.html#s-apt-show-versions <snip> For example, to keep package sylpheed that I have modified to use "reply-to-list" at version 0.4.99, I add: Package: sylpheed Pin: version 0.4.99* </snip> -- System Information Debian Release: testing/unstable Architecture: i386 Kernel: Linux workstation 2.4.19-preempt-latency-int #1 Fri Nov 22 13:56:24 CET 2002 i686 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C Versions of packages apt depends on: ii libc6 2.3.1-9 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libstdc++2.10-glibc2.2 1:2.95.4-15 The GNU stdc++ library
