Hello apt-developers, at first - many thanks for writimng such nice package-management-tool !!
Apt is really great, and makes system-management very easy :-) Somtimes I miss the possibility to limit the results of apt-cache. If, i.e. i have releases of kde-software in "stable" and "unstable", and my system uses "testing" as default release - then it's sometimes a little bit grindingly to find out in which release a certain package is available. A advance would be two commandline-switches for apt-cache which shows additional infrmation: * the release-number * the source of this package (stable, testing, unstable, unknown) Regards Marc Schöchlin
