Yes, IBExpert is a tool for working with databases (designing databases, running queryes). It's most important advantage when working with Firebird is that IBExpert is a tool designed for Firebird/Interbase and nothing else. As a consequence it has very good support for everything + a designer/editor for everything. I don't know anything about Workbench, but unless it has specific, strong support for Firebird/Interbase (ie: it does not go through ODBC or ADO), you might want to check IBExpert out. After all, the personal edition is free and it's very powerful. As a matter of fact, HK-Software cheated themselfs out of a number of sales because of this: I'm using the "pro" version but everyone on my team uses the "personal edition" version, and they'll keep using it for a loooong time, as they have no use for the extra features in the "pro" version. _______________________________________________ Delphi-DB mailing list Delphi-DB@elists.org http://www.elists.org/mailman/listinfo/delphi-db
