I bought EMS IB/FB Manager. Its ok, but buggy and misses a lot of needed features. To be honest, I stopped using it in favor of the FREE IBExpert version which did pretty much all the same stuff, but better. Its also very strange how similar those programs are (almost like the IBExpert guys wrote the EMS stuff and then took it over for themselves?). Anyway after 12 months of using both tools, I ended up spending the money to buy the registered version of IBExpert and never looked back. The stored procedure debugging alone is worth the money. But here's what I would suggest to anyone who is looking to do this. IBExpert offer a good discount to anyone who is a Firebird Foundation member. Membership is about $50 and it really does help out the foundation. Since you get a similar discount to IBExpert, why not join the FF first, and then get the trial download of IBExpert to try it out. When your 45 day trial is up, buy it and claim the discount for the Foundation membership. This way everyone wins. You get started with a great product, and help the future of Firebird for everyone.
