If go with Firebird embedded then all you have to do is copy 2 or 3 files to your application's directory. I can't see how the database installation could be easier - except by compiling it right into your app. And should you ever need to support multiple simultaneous users then you won't have to change your app. Just install FB server and change your connection string.
