i am trying to figure out how to set up a [ private stand alone]
knowledge base for the organisation of information of delphi, that I
have collected over a period of time on paper in books, magazines,
printouts and on my harddisk in doc , pdf and txt files. i have lots
and lots of readers, tutorials, tips and tricks , code snippets,
source code of methods and components, applications with source and so on.
i use delphi 5E + sp2 on XP. with MS-Access, but like to experiment
with another RDBMS.
i am not looking for buying an application [like asksam or whatever]
 nor for a freeware app.
i like the challenge to learn to do it myself but know that i need
all the help i can get and hope that underway this info also can
help others.
the most difficult part for me is to come up with a good design. too
many times i started the development of a small application with a
"bubble gum design" [ defining MS Access tables in MS2000 and started
coding]. the results were allways disappointing as i had to redesign
the tables and forms and so on over and over due to the lack of a
sound architecture and then while chewing on the code i got all type
of errors that i never was able resolve.
please anyone help me find the building blocks for a design for a
delphi database application that i can use to organize information
about delphi.
