Like Peter, I'm a hobby programmer. Back in the
days of Turbo
Pascal 2 & 3, there were thousands of us - does anyone remember the old
Database ToolBox? Also like Peter, I stopped at Delphi 3 Pro, after a long
period working with Delphi 1.
I did not particularly like Borland's DBE so have used Topaz components
from the pre-Windows times.
Have thought about a Delphi upgrade but can not justify the expense.
Borland seems to have forgotten about the large group who supported
them in their early days.
Such is progress, but at least it is better than working in COBOL.
