Delphi 4 was released in 1998. Delphi 5 was released in 1999. Delphi 6 was released in 2001. Delphi 7 was released in 2002. All those were summer releases. Delphi 8 was released in 2003. Delphi 2005 was released in 2004. Those were autumn releases. Over a year between each release. > From: [email protected] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of > J Wise > Sent: Wednesday, September 14, 2005 5:47 PM > To: [email protected] > Subject: RE: [delphi-en] Delphi Q&A - Is Borland committed to Delphi? > [...] > I never realized it before keying this response but > Turbo Pascal stopped at version 5, dBase for Windows > stopped at version 5 and Borland C++ stopped at > version 5. Borland must be improving because with > Delphi I was able to reach a version 6. Turbo Pascal stopped at version 7. The Windows versions of Turbo Pascal were numbered 1, 1.5, and 7. The final version was actually marketed as "Borland Pascal," and it included compilers for Windows, real-mode DOS, and protected-mode DOS. Borland C++ stopped at version 5.5. -- Rob ------------------------ Yahoo! Groups Sponsor --------------------~--> Get Bzzzy! (real tools to help you find a job).
