UnitCost.AsString := '12.50'; There is something that can go wrong: Interbase has a so-called Language-Driver. You can access this in the BDE-Configuration and set it appropiately. If this does not apply to your problem, you should better (always) show us the few lines of code in which the exeption occurs.
