Thanx Bob...Ya I know the one included with XP isn't great but right now I need a freeware alternative cause having just moved I'm a bit low on funding! <g> It really pisses me off that PCShield didn't bother to warn their clients about this...especially when they've known about it for so long! When I asked them why, they said because it doesn't happen all the time. Only 99% of the time!

Be careful, the Windows XP Firewall is not as good as a commercial / professional one. I wouldn't want to be online too long with the one as only protection. Having your pants down around your ankles is no fun is they're coming from behind with flame-throwers... ;-) A good tip is http://www.grc.com and look for the "Shields Up!" test. That will really tell you how safe and locked your system is...
