You can calculate in the numeration base you like most :-) The result is 
always the same. I guess you like to calculate using base 10 :-)))

A quantity, being bytes or anything lese, doesn't depend on the numeration 
base it is expressed. Of course to understand the value a person need to 
know which numeration base where used.
