First of all, ever since I replaced my stolen machine and setup
access to the Borland newsgroups again just as before in OutLook Express,
I've not been able to post any messages to any of their newsgroups! I keep
getting an error that the From Field is not correctly filled in. Well there
is no From field to begin with and the only thing I could think of was in
the groups properties where you list reply to info like your name and e-mail
address. I have those filled in yet still I get the error. Of course it
was so long ago that I subscribed, perhaps I'm missing something else. Is a
logon name and password required for the Borland newsgroups? Anyone have
any ideas?
Next, in trying to add some components via the dpk or bpl's that I
had for D2005 and for which I do have the source code, I'm getting errors
each time on compile due to the IDE not being able to locate the rtl in the
requires clauses. Does anyone know what this has been replaced with in
D2006?
Also, has anyone experienced this: while attempting to load a
package or dpk file into the d2006 IDE and compile, because of the above
mentioned problem I get an error. When this occurs, Delphi minimizes itself
to the taskbar and becomes unusable. I can't even restore it and have to
shut it down via the taskmanager. I just want to check before posting it to
QC.
