I hope it will go open source. I think it is the only long term answer for Delphi. Whoever buys it has to compete with Microsoft Dev Studio, they will need deep pockets to do that. Microsoft swiped the lead developers from Borland this obviously has had a major effect on the team. The last two releases show that. Don't MS own 25% of Borland. Where does that put them a buyer.
There seems to be some desire for Google to buy it, but it will need some imagination to see why they would want it. As Watcom has gone open source how about "Watcom Delphi" if Borland keep the Borland name for the ALM part of the company.
