Rob, I attempted to use Indy's demo Chat facility over the internet REPEATEDLY (their TCP Chat client) and it refused to work on anything but a LAN..... even with the correct NAT rules on my server's router.... that gave me the impression that numerous Indy tools were for LAN use only.... it is an assumption but I have read various testimonials saying the same thing..... if I'm wrong, then I'm wrong.... it was just something worth considering is all.
Yes if IIS is already installed then it would get in the way.... but the same can be said for the D-Link router (Which is giving me problems at the moment with my HTTP server). Remember that D-Link routers have a HTML configuration facility which can be accessed both over LAN and over the internet (as I discovered today)..... this can also get in the way. I'm only trying to help but if my help is not needed then I won't do so again.
