Unfortunately this is NOT a firebird question, nor is it a "database" 
question in the more general sense. This is a Windows Networking 
question (not a ICS question ether). The tool I'm using to test the 
issue is "telnet" and I don't get an answer!

I'm absolutely sure there are other, better NG's for this problem. 
Unfortunately I'm only reading programming related NG's and mailing 
lists, and I'm not willing to deal with the very high traffic of 
Microsoft NG's. I'm simply hoping someone on this list knows something 
about this problem and has the time to post a reply.
