Eddie,
I worked for a company (quit about a year ago) that spent 4.5 million US on .Net consultants to convert their existing software to the "Microsoft Standard of Excellence". After 4 years and nothing to show they pulled the plug. And yes by the way the consulting firm used that offshore development resource - India. Didn't help the project but I bet it helped the consulting firm's bottom line. We used to use Delphi at the aforementioned company and I will always be greatful to the people on the Delphi Users group. The delphi group is different than the .Net group, better programmers, more helpful, just a great group of people. I miss Delphi and I wish that Borland would have let it go. I would have supported a "true" new company but just can not bring myself to spend my own personal money anymore on Borland products (and I personally bought every Delphi release from Turbo Pascal to Delphi 6). I wish you the best but hope your company has the same success as my previous one. grs > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:delphi-talk- > [EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Eddie Shipman > Sent: Wednesday, January 24, 2007 10:38 PM > To: delphi-talk@elists.org > Subject: Re: We should all be thankful! > > Well, said, Robert.
