I worked for a company (quit about a year ago) that spent 4.5 million US on
.Net consultants to convert their existing software to the "Microsoft
Standard of Excellence". After 4 years and nothing to show they pulled the
plug. And yes by the way the consulting firm used that offshore development
resource - India. Didn't help the project but I bet it helped the consulting
firm's bottom line.

We used to use Delphi at the aforementioned company and I will always be
greatful to the people on the Delphi Users group. The delphi group is
different than the .Net group, better programmers, more helpful, just a
great group of people.

I miss Delphi and I wish that Borland would have let it go. I would have
supported a "true" new company but just can not bring myself to spend my own
personal money anymore on Borland products (and I personally bought every
Delphi release from Turbo Pascal to Delphi 6).

I wish you the best but hope your company has the same success as my
previous one.
