We have also found that apps developed in D4 and that are run on Win98 are unstable -
Work fine on 95 and NT.
Don't know whose the problems are eg M$ vs Borland. Suspect it is M$.

Subject: [DUG]: D4 and Win98
Hi all.
We've been finding a fair amount of instability with Delphi 4 under Windows 98 and a
few of us have reverted to Win95 to fix the problem.
Specifically, we've encountered the following:
- Invalid pointer operation when trying to step through code
- Balloon hints causing crashes when you hang around on a button and it shows you the
hint (this is an explorer error).
Has anybody else experienced instability under Win98 - could it be the Win98/D4
combination, or can we just blame Microsoft?
Cheers.
