> Delphi 4 do not install on Windows 2000 Beta 3. Very true - it does, however, appear to work well on NT5 tho :) > Other than getting a new CD, you need to either install D4 on an OS like 98, > NT 4 and then upgrade the OS to Win 2000, or copy the Run-Image directory > from the CD, and then use an existing copy of D4's registry settings. try the runimage and then the registry only install - that should work fine for you, and it should also register all/most of the activeX's too! Incedentally, JBuilder 3, which also uses InstallShield, works and installs just fine. It is, however, a known InstallShield bug. As usual, everyone is pointing fingers at everyone else and saying "your fault". MS are about the only ones who dont get pointed at, and they are really the ones at fault. Personally, I found NT5 to be worthless for me - the only advantage I get from it is Direct3D for games, which I dont play much, and a lot of headaches with other hardware. With SP5, NT4 has gotten REALLY stable - I'm sticking with that for a while I think.
