Borland aren't writing code that talks directly to video cards. They're
just calling Windows routines. If your hardware is broke, I can't see
how that's Borland's problem. Frustrating though, I admit!
Testing Delphi against every hardware and software combination before
each release is just impractical. :-(
The fundamental problem here is that the mix-and-match approach that
Windows encourages (to both hardware and software) is totally
error-prone.
I wonder if this means I'm advocating we all run Microsoft-only
applications on Microsoft-supplied hardware.
