Nope.

A guy on the newsgroups has just suggested that when a delphi app releases
memory it is only marked as being released and is not actually cleared until
the system goes looking for it.

Sounds plausible to me, but what I can't understand is why my app (blank
form!) is growing when external folders are being opened???
