My theory is Explorer is possibly getting confused by the format of
resources in your app. That is why I have asked you to remove resources one
by one. Deleting and recreating the icon resource will cause Resource
Workshop to reformat all resources in the EXE, thus achieving the desired
effect. I wonder, if you can delete the RES file that Delphi generates for
the project (this should have only 2 resources, the icon and versioninfo).
Reselect the icon into the project and recompile.

Ahh, have been working with thin clients for too long ... never had to worry
about database stuff ... but that is another story.
