I think that when you upgrade to Win98, some system file changes
ever-so-slightly, and introduces some weird behaviour, which is why there
seems to be a limit (try uninstalling everything except the standard
controls, and it should run fine). I still can't decide whether this is
Borland's fault (relying on weird behaviour that's not necessarily
forward-compatible) or MS's (breaking existing code by rewriting libraries).
But it's bad either way. Grr.
