I'm all for JSP, which uses JDBC to connect. I'm doing that at present with
the JDK1.2RC2, which is not 100% stable (few leaks here and there), but I
havn't had it crash on me yet (been using it for dev. for about 3 weeks)

See above. Its not very hard, IMO. JRun (www.livesoftware.com) is very good
for this, as is Sun's reference implementation or the host of other JSP
engines - see www.esperanto.org.nz for a list of them.

yes, and no. Yes, its still there, I beleive, and no, I dont think its a
good idea - its interbase 4.2, which is VERY old (like, 4-5 versions old). I
think you'd be better off with IB5.6 for Linux, tho you'd have to pay for it
:( - and you can't use the JDBC driver with it (4.2), either.
