Added to this, I just went to ODBC connection I made, and tried the TEST CONNECTION button. If I use TCP/IP it cant connect. If I use <local> it can connect ! I have also confiremd this with the Interbase Communications diagnostic tool.   Another thought I had is that the IB Server is actually local to my machine, not on another machine.
