Quoting Simon Thornhill, Vice President and General Manager of the Borland
RAD Tools Group :
"Borland has no platform agenda. Our goal in this world of competing
standards is to protect you from vendor and platform lock-in. As a developer
using Borland tools, you are in the best position to take advantage of
whatever platform standard solves your customer or end-user problem. The
Internet is the future, and the Internet has no platform agenda.
Our promise to you is simple. You, the Delphi and C++Builder developer, will
give your customers and end-users, applications that take advantage of all
of the most important platform standards. "
So I guess if enough developers ask for 'Delphi.net' they will look at it.

Subject: [DUG]: Delphi.NET
Anyone heard any whispers of Delphi being ported to the
M$ .Net runtime? (I guess it would have to be well after the Kylix
release.) It would be a close fit.
Or is Kylix the chance to get out from under the thumb of Microsoft.
