Then you should see java... It does a lot and has a better designed
set of standard classes than Delphi...
but...
It has performance issues...
Delphi fits a nice Win32, high execution speed, low development time niche
which it will inhabit for a few years yet....
Java embraces enterprise-level functionality, better modularity, the same language
across all tiers of the application, multi-vendor support and OS independance....
Different products, different markets (although the 2 market do overlap a fair bit and
Java will step further into Delphis niche as time progresses).
