Not free, but pretty cheap --- check out TMSSOFTWARE. Their component suite is about $100US ... and the grid seems to do everything and then some. They have free downloads ... the dollars gets you source and a commercial licence. Failing that, there is plenty of free stuff about ... most of it at Torreys (site). The freeware tends to be pretty limited, but multiline and displaying images/ backgrounds etc shouldn't be a problem.

Hi people...

I was wondering if some of you could recommend some good database aware type grid components. I am looking for a grid type component that can do multi line of information per each record. So along the lines of DBCtrlGrids but maybe visually more looking like outlook grids (Eg: the inbox etc) and more flexible / control then a dbctrlgrid..

Freeware components with source would be awesome
but any lead / recommendation is appreciated....
