Sometimes I do - sometimes I don't. It seems to come and go.
I do have a .dsm IIRC file that gets VERY big. I cannot get it to
be there right now but when it is usually about 3.5 MBytes. If I
delete that I get an error when I load the project - something about
symbol table - and on opening and closing Delphi the file is not
there and the error has gone too. I know that sounds rather vague
but I have not had time to work out when this happens and when it
doesn't.

I think you have something here - I do have problems with this.
I am working on a project with two others - the desktop is not
saving and it is pissing me off. EVERY time I open the project
the desktop is back to no units opened except the project unit
and no forms opened. No matter what I do things are getting
reset when I reopen it later.
All this may resolve itself as I handed in that assignment about
30 minutes ago.
