[DUG]: DB Grid - non bound Columns.

Is there an easy way with a DBGrid to include in it columns that are editable (a la the standard non DA Grid - they receive and display text) but have no underlying Dataset? ie for situations where the grid displays the datasets info for all but one or two columns (which can be manually dealt with before post or whatever)?   Doesn't seem so, but thought I should ask before taking ther text grid approach.   Thanks
