Actually, the bigger threat would be from Microsoft. They virtually own
patents to most algorithms that are required for compiler construction. And
what they have missed, IBM owns.
I am at a loss to understand why Microsoft has not taken anyone to court yet
(such as Borland). Maybe they are hoping for a Submarine coup in a few
years time to instantly kill all competition on earth. :-)

And you are telling me that Borland have no commercial or copy rights over
the Delphi language? I find that very hard to believe.
Anyway it's more than K, LP is supposed to be able to be used to write
commercial applications for Windows.
