[DUG]: Menu appears white on XP

I'm compiling a Windows XP manifest into my D5 app so it uses the new common controls.  Everything looks fine except the main menu on a popup modal form where the menu appears white.  I'm including very small PNG images to show the problem.  I hope that's OK.

Here is the main menu on the main form which looks fine.


Here is the main menu on the popup form which doesn't.


Any ideas why this is happening?
