Virtual Tree from Mike Lischke (http://www.delphi-gems.com/VirtualTreeview/VT.php) has built in support for checkboxes. I think there is a derivative that shows the contents of directories as well - take a look at http://www.delphi-gems.com/VirtualTreeview/VTGallery.php.
