Hi all (hopefully some are around looking at emails after such a dissapointing
start to the Americas Cup!).
Having finally gotten D7 to work, I find that D5 is not working any more.
After throttling my kids, killing the cat, disgusting the wife, I finally found
that as I suspected, the directories between the two versions are being
confused. By further investigation it turns out the $(delphi) directory variable
is used as common between both versions, which is apparent in the registry.
Thanks Borland, but that is NOT what I want as some of the components are
designed differently for the different versions.
Damm thing though, every time I put the path C:\Borland\Delphi5\mydir it changes
it to $(delphi)\mydir, which is in fact C:\program files\borland\delphi7\mydir
What I want to be able to do is type in a fixed directory variable into the
Library path eg 'C:\borland\delphi5\'
How can I sus it please before they take me away.
