My current apps dont run when logged
out. they are scheduled with Win2000 task scheduler.
My server is Win2000, my apps connect to
Firebird. Firebird service logs on under system account and interact with
desktop.

default allows interaction with the desktop, so should still run okay without
any changes. But of course if on NT then out of luck ...

could try this for your current programs without any changes to
them.
