Hi Nicholas, I think you will be fine if you just develop internet game server. There are limited third party visual control on Kylix. But you got Indy for Kylix for free. I think that will meet your requirement. I don't know about ICS.
Kylix 3 is the latest version and quite stable. Alway use latest version if possible. But like Delphi, if you put multiple projects in project group and build it all, it seems Kylix does not release memory. I end up have to restart Kylix after a full build everytime. By the way, how do you manage to get that amazing good deal from Orcon if it is not confidential?
