I tend to load a program into Hex Workshop to look around for text.  But
Sysinternals Process Explorer can display all strings in an open program.
See the String tab when you load the Properties of a program.

Actaully another way too is to use WinDowse from Greatis Software (its free)
and it lets you find th name of a control class etc. under the mouse cursor.
