I've just been re-working an app to use firebird in D2010 and seems to work well. The server is compiled in D2010 and the client in D2007 - and I'm not having any unicode conversion problems (that I can tell).
Alister, since I don't know anything about Firebird what is the best way (tutorial, sample apps, etc) for me to become capable of using Firebird as my database? Assuming I can get to a point of actually using Firebird, am I going to be able to convert my application which uses liberally InfoPower Suite 2007, JEDI, AceReporter, & SMImport components/report writer?
